Seva or unconditional service has always left me with a sense of immense contentment. And frankly this contentment itself turns to be my biggest motivation to plan and eagerly wait for the next. Though the 'cleaning spree' on the 5th was more a 'home work' sincewe choose to clean the area in and around IAME, there were a lot of things that i personally felt and learnt.  While we started collecting plastics, our friend Christopher said, 'Imagine so much of plastics in such a small area!!!'. On contemplation, i got shivers down my spine, imagining the amount of plastics (toxins) this entire earth is covered with. A sense of responsibility charged my spirit and within i promised to avoid usage of plastics in my day to day life.

Towards the end while we were heading towards dumping the heap to another corner, Doc said, 'See this is the problem, we still don’t know what to do with this garbage! Therefore it seems at the end of the day we have done nothing'!! At that, i truly felt that plastics to our earth are like AIDS to our bodies!!

I realised the only way to educate and bring awareness among the generation and the next, is only through practical work shops rather than powerpoint sessions behind closed doors. I would request my chairman and my Executive Director, my Dean, kindly allow us to have atleast a weekly two hour session with our students where they get the opportunity to messtheir hands on sorting grass root issues.

Lets love the Earth for a change!!!
