Rich or poor, stress catches everyone at every levels of our life. As we grow up and look back into our childhood we feel as though they were ‘the best days of my life’. Ask a child how true is that and you will get nothing more than exclamation looks on his face.

Environmental stress, stress due to poverty, stress due to lack of parental attention and ignorance, stress due to peer pressure at school and several other stresses makes a child weaker in his mind by every day.

Often a child looses his self esteem and slowly turns out to be just an average even though he could have been a pool of talent. Therefore like most of us he starts looking for an outlet, he starts to look for something to get his mind occupied with. And the easiest access he could find is the TV remote. He is glued in his self created refuge namely cartoon network, pogo and also has a bunch of enemies to kill over the joysticks.

Karma Cosmic Foundation has organized special attention classes for children every Sunday at Tataguni village. In the two hour program, children are told stories from the ancient scriptures, they are taught to sing aloud the hymens, of great saints of Karnataka like Akka Mahadevi, Shishunal Sheriff, Basweshwar Anna, and many others. They are encouraged to share their own stories and through several games taught the importance of selfless service towards the society and humanity. Children here are also introduced to meditation so that the inner dynamism explores out as a talent.

Over the last two weeks we have been seeing a steep increase in the number of children for one Sunday to the next.

Good children will make a better tomorrow. Let’s make it easy for them…
